Step 1: Preliminary Application
The process begins with the online registration of your institution. Institutions must complete a registration form and upload key documentation, including:
- Proof of registration in the commercial register.
- Licenses or permissions required for educational activities in the country of operation.
- Evidence of operational infrastructure (e.g., physical facilities or online platforms).
Once submitted, ECPEA reviews the initial documentation to determine whether the institution meets the basic eligibility criteria. If approved, the institution proceeds to the next stage of the accreditation process.
Step 2: Program Evaluation
Institutions provide detailed documentation for each program they wish to accredit, such as MBA, DBA, MSc, MPA, BBA, LLD, LLM, MPH, MHA, DSc, and LLB. The required materials include:
- Program Overview: A clear description of the program’s focus, objectives, and expected learning outcomes.
- Curriculum Outline: A comprehensive breakdown of courses, including their content, credit hours, and learning methodologies.
- Assessment Methods: Information on how each program is concluded, including exams, thesis requirements, or capstone projects.
- Faculty Profiles: CVs of program instructors and guarantors, detailing their qualifications and expertise.
- Quality Assurance Standards: Documentation showing how the institution ensures and maintains the quality of its programs.
ECPEA may request additional materials, such as sample learning resources or copies of student agreements, to further verify the program’s quality.
Step 3: Accreditation Review
At this stage, the institution’s application and program documentation are evaluated by an independent panel of experts. These experts bring extensive knowledge in education and the specific disciplines under review.
The panel assesses the quality of the programs, ensures alignment with ECPEA’s standards, and identifies any areas for improvement. Institutions receive detailed feedback and, if successful, their programs are approved for accreditation. Accredited institutions are awarded a certification valid for five years, along with the right to use the ECPEA logo in marketing and promotional materials.
Step 4: Diploma Issuance and Reporting
Institutions with accredited programs gain access to ECPEA’s diploma system. ECPEA provides customizable diploma template in PSD format, featuring:
- The ECPEA logo.
- A unique serial number for each diploma.
- Personalization fields for student names, programs, and completion dates.
Institutions must report issued diplomas to ECPEA quarterly or annually, including graduate details such as names, program titles, completion dates, and unique serial numbers. This data is stored securely in ECPEA’s centralized database, enabling employers and other parties to verify the authenticity of diplomas online.
Step 5: Ongoing Monitoring and Renewal
Accreditation is valid for five years, during which ECPEA conducts periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with its standards. A mid-term audit occurs after two years to assess the institution’s adherence to quality practices.
To renew accreditation after five years, institutions must undergo a streamlined re-evaluation process. This ensures that programs remain up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with professional and academic standards.
